Legal Road is excited to announce that Mrs Joanna Ampratwum-Danquah has joined our portfolio of legal consultants. Joanna is dual qualified being a Barrister & Solicitor in the Republic of Ghana since 2011 and a Solicitor of England and Wales. Joanna is a SRA authorised solicitor and has been consistent in her interest, experience and knowledge in Corporate Commercial law.

Being Russell group educated with an LLB Law (Hons) degree, a Corporate Commercial Masters degree (LLM) in International Trade Law and Intellectual Property, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Research in the areas of E-Commerce, Corporate Commercial and Employment law and a BL (Barrister-at-Law), Joanna has always been diligent in pursuing and practicing in Commercial law.

Joanna started her career as a mentee for the magic circle firm Simmons & Simmons and also worked Pro Bono with Travers Smith on Employment issues. Joanna went on to work in-house with some interesting companies and did a Trade Mark internship with one of Europe’s leading Trade Mark registration law firms. This has resulted in Joanna being able to provide assistance in minimising risk, support in obtaining the objectives of the business, pursue commercially pragmatic outcomes whilst ensuring compliance with legal regulations and has systematic thinking and creativity in devising and implementing solutions.

Joanna has technical skills in commercial contracts and intellectual property, core competencies in having meticulous attention to detail, she is calm under pressure and is able to convince and influence and has great interpersonal skills in building long lasting professional relationships, she is innovative, adaptable and a passionate solicitor.

Joanna has worked in a plethora of legal areas but thoroughly enjoys working with commercial clients from the creative world covering the Fashion (Luxury, Retail & E-tailing), Hair & Beauty, Branding, Entertainment, Media & Music, Disruptive Technology Industries, Entrepreneurs, Start-ups and SMEs.
