Ian Duncan holds a MLaw degree specialising in Private Equity Law and Media Law.
Ian has more than 20 years of commercial and corporate experience as a managing director for a media company consulting to global mutinationals such as Unilever, Givaudan and Chivas Regal. Ian has provided extensive legal advice to corporate clients for the acquisition of commercial business and the drafting of business and commercial contracts.
Robert Mackenzie is a barrister-at-law, a member of the Chartered FCSI and holds a BA (Hons) from UCL.
He is also a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (for which he is an external specialist adviser) and a member of the Revenue Bar Association. Robert has a wide civil practice specialising in the areas of commercial litigation, company, chancery, trusts, insolvency and tax. Previously, Robert worked in the City as an institutional fund manager for a major UK life assurance company which has well equipped him with a strong foundation and perspective for his practice in tax and trusts.
Robert has several years’ experience as an advocate and is also routinely instructed for advice and the drafting of court documents. Recent examples of Robert’s work include a successful appeal against the imposition of a tax penalty against an individual by HMRC, advice on the interpretation of Wills, and claims in professional negligence. His research and advisory work encompasses trusts and taxation. Last year Robert was awarded 5/5 for level of service to the client and knowledge of law by a Lexcel accredited firm.
